Our approach

About LeafNestCare

Clear, practical plant-care education for homes in Delhi.

Why this website exists

LeafNestCare is an independently developed plant-care information website focused on everyday growing conditions in Delhi. The project began with a simple observation: many people purchase attractive indoor plants but receive advice that does not explain how their particular home affects watering, light and soil. “Water twice a week” sounds convenient. It can also be wrong for a shaded room, a large container or a change in season.

Our goal is to replace one-size-fits-all instructions with understandable checks. You should be able to pick up a pot, look at a window, inspect a leaf and make a more informed choice. We cover topics that matter for apartments and smaller homes: managing hot windows, understanding indirect light, choosing drainage, responding to yellow leaves and spotting common pests early.

Who our guides are for

The articles are written for first-time houseplant owners, renters building a small green corner and people looking after a few established plants. You do not need expensive equipment or a specialist vocabulary to begin. We explain the reason behind a step where possible, rather than presenting it as a strict rule that suits every species.

Delhi is the main geographic focus because seasonal heat, monsoon humidity, winter conditions and varied housing layouts affect care. We avoid assuming that every home has a balcony, abundant direct sunlight or enough room for large decorative planters. Indoor plants can be rewarding in compact spaces, provided the species and location are chosen realistically.

How information is prepared

Content is organized around widely used horticultural practices, careful observation and conservative recommendations. Individual species vary, and a symptom such as drooping or yellowing can have several explanations. For this reason, our guides describe checks to perform before changing care. We do not claim that a single method will fix every plant, and we do not present chemical treatments as casual household experiments.

We update material when we identify unclear instructions or better explanations. Readers can flag confusing information through the contact form. LeafNestCare is currently a digital editorial project, not a registered local nursery, retail outlet or paid in-home plant service. Business ownership details and a named editorial contact must be completed by the publisher before the site is presented as a commercial business.

Our promise to readers

We prefer useful detail to dramatic claims. Plants do not automatically clean a room’s air to a medically meaningful standard, and no living species thrives indefinitely without appropriate light or water. We encourage readers to identify plants correctly, consider pet and child safety, check product labels and seek qualified local advice for unusual plant diseases or serious infestations. Above all, we want indoor gardening to feel like a learnable skill: observe, adjust and give a living plant time to respond.
